What the heck is a
virtual talk group?

It begins with our shared humanity. The undeniable, inextricable ties that connect us regardless of so many differences.

A virtual talk group is a non-therapy* opportunity to explore what’s real + honest for each of us in the moment, knowing that we’re collectively interested in exploring our relationships to work and career and all the ways that they impact our lives, minds, emotions, etc. Together we dial up our curiosity and listen deeply to explore ways to be present for each other through emotional connection. In other words, we show up with intention and mindfully keep it real.

*This group is not for assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, supervision, or continuing education. Ask Erik if you have questions about the limits and roles.

    • Remember who you are and that the necessity to earn a living is just one part of your story, and your legacy.

8-Members Max

More than eight members results in less time for connection in each session. Once the each talk group sessions begins, we don’t force or hold any rigid expectations. We ride the wave and explore what comes up with compassion for ourselves and the other members.

Groups are dynamic and the nuance of what unfolds are attributed to so many factors. Below are some topics that could arise based on the general theme of our relationship to work.

    • Navigating difficult workplace conversations or relationships.

    • The challenges of changing jobs and/or careers.

    • Work-Life balance. What is possible?

    • Building resiliency and coping skills for dealing with career-related anxiety while sustaining motivation.

    • Exploring the feelings that arise relating to our work.

    • Defining success and comparing to others.

    • Scarcity VS abundance

    • Work and career as opportunities for growth, change and transformation.
